Discipleship and Mentoring: A Healthy Lifestyle

The more I learn about discipleship, the more I realize the implications it has on how I live.

If it wasn’t for the men and women who have poured into my life, I would think I was okay. And the danger of thinking I’m ‘okay’ is that I’ll become prideful; I won’t see the need for correction in my life.

The same goes for my pouring into other people. In my mentoring experiences, the phrase ‘practice what you preach’ is always in my head. If I’m not living out the advice I’m giving…I am a hypocrite, it’s that simple.

Being fed regularly and pouring myself out often helps me live better. I am constantly held accountable from all sides and always learning.
