Drowning Out Sorrow Pt. 1

I recently watched a brief discussion on Christianity and art on a video that has been circling around the Internet.

During the discussion they talked about how Christians, when expressing themselves through art, often ‘drown out sorrow’.

We brush sadness under the rug and never really confront it. But look at the Bible, it’s full of heavy stuff.

From the fall to the story of David to Job to the death of our Savior and everything in between.

Life is messy. It can be hard to believe in God. It can be hard to pray to someone you feel is silent. It can be hard to worship through hurt.

By all means, embrace truth but don’t drown out your sorrow.
